Fair use rationale for Image:NewNHLogo.jpg

[edit]

Image:NewNHLogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:51, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Company name

[edit]

Is Ag short for agriculture or Aktiengesellschaft? If the latter, I suggest we change the title to New Holland AG. Biscuittin (talk) 07:46, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ag is short for agricuture. Indeed the full name of the company is New Holland Agriculture to distinguish from the siste company New Holland Construction --Smagliola (talk) 16:31, 28 March 2010 (UTC)Smagliola[reply]

Merger

[edit]

I oppose a merger. I think it is better to keep one article for historical information and another for current information. A single article would become too long. Biscuittin (talk) 08:15, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed the the historical information on New Holland Machine company are in depth information that may not interest who is looking for a company overiew. By the way, I just added a history section; clearly I had to mention the founder Zimmerman, but I tried to gave a clear view on all mergers from the foundation to today.Smagliola (talk) 18:11, 28 March 2010 (UTC)Smagliola[reply]

Continuous advertisement

[edit]

It may seem drastic, but maybe the article needs to be protected for a while, as another deterrent. I see that its primarily one user consistently recreating the same advertisement, and it would appear that blocking the accounts from editing aren't going to do any good, as they'll just create new usernames to circumvent it... Thoughts? →ClarkCTTalk @ 16:51, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In the light of the repeated attempts at spamming it's probably the right thing to do. ♦ Jongleur100 talk 10:36, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. The sock puppets are out in force. Favonian (talk) 10:39, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am making bold changes to the page. Comments and suggestions are welcome. Smagliola (talk) 18:14, 28 March 2010 (UTC)Smagliola Last but not least, also images should be substituted as those are not very meaningful and doea not add value to the article. Clean up

[edit]

The lead has been improved (hopefully) and I hope it now reflects better the article content. Can any administrator check it and let me know?Smagliola (talk) 15:31, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A Cleanup messagge has been added. Unluckly it is general and I am not able to understand what it refer to... Thoughts? Suggestions? Smagliola (talk) 15:31, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why do the dates jump around like a flea on crack? I came here to learn about the company, having grown up helping my grandfather farm, I was curious how the brand came to be, I left with a headache. Maybe when I'm not beat tired from work I can try to make any sense of it, but it jumps all over in dates, time, companies, and doesnt flow like a history should. I dont know when the first company was formed, nor when or why or how the next company aquired, or maybe Company A formed, Company B formed, Company A ate B, etc.-hypercube33 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.89.87.30 (talk) 02:03, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV

[edit]

A NPOV alert has been raised on the page. Can you please help me to understand what's wrong and how it can be improved? Smagliola (talk) 15:22, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tractor Models

[edit]

I cannot see a list of tractor models produced by this company. Is there such a page or list? Given all the mergers it would be somewhat complex. I am considering uploading an image of a 8340 (circa 1996) and adding a gallery to this page. Does anyone else have images of case tractors? Anyway its and idea and might make the article more interesting. Nnoddy (talk) 06:06, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

When I firstly edit this page I added a list of all current models but I was asked to remove as it was against Wikipedia guidelines to have a simple list; if we want to add a list of all historical models, there is an Italian book dedicated to this subject, so it should be doable, but I was planning to open new pages to describe old Brands (just need to find the time, I have most of the material ready :)) There are some pictures on Wikimedia of NH tractors and also on their Flickr account you can find some pictures licensed with CC Smagliola (talk) 12:19, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
