If you want to see the full link, mouse over the hyperlink. No need to put it all on the page. Also, the other two links, code and market, are important for open source and android software, respectfully. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Teeks99 (talk • contribs) 11:19, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, and thus they are listed at the bottom in the 'external links' section and thus should also added in the infobox. The infobox is a summary of hard facts. mabdul12:03, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think the Orbot article could be merged with Tor (network), under the "Implementations" section. Orbot is just a Tor client for Android, so it could have a brief mention there instead of the current stub. Sunmist (talk) 08:47, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have a slight preference for keeping them separate, though I could definitely be convinced otherwise. Unlike Tor Browser, Orbot isn't developed by Tor Project, and makes design decisions that Tor Project has been expressly opposed to (e.g., the user-facing ability to filter exits by geoip). I also think that the Tor article is already kind of unwieldy, and someone unfamiliar with the space could easily get lost in details (it's been on my todo list for far too long now to clean the article up). Basically, I'd like the Tor article to be kept to things that are relevant to someone who is curious about this Tor thing they've heard about and decided to, well, look it up in an encyclopedia. Adding details about specific Tor front-ends seems to cross that line a bit, IMO. But again, I could be convinced otherwise, and while I think that the "Implementations" section of the Tor article is in need of pruning, it's nowhere near as bad as all the theoretical "attacks" on that article or the arduous "Reception, impact, and legislation" section.—Tga (talk) 14:59, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Do Not Merge - This article should better clarify how Orbot and Guardian project are separate from and related to The Tor Project. Maybe the infobox should not say Developers: The Tor Project. It needs improving, but merging is not the way, IMO. -- Yae4 (talk) 19:18, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the feedback! My opinion has changed; between Orbot being developed by the Guardian Project and the design differences Tga.D (talk·contribs) mentioned, I agree that merging into the (already quite large) Tor (network) article wouldn't be the best solution.
