[edit]How is this quote notable outside of one game? It's not used outside of Super Mario Bros. and remakes/ports of it, and only alluded to in Super Mario Bros. 3 (and remakes/ports). Not only is it not a series meme, but it's also the only one of its kind. Do we have an article called Dodongos dislike smoke or Eastmost peninsula is the secret? No, because they're quotes, they're meme, they're not deserving of articles just because they're popular quotes from games. Guess what Wikiquote is for? - A Link to the Past (talk) 02:15, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Should we use a screenshot of the quote in the top section, just as a visual representation of its origin? SuperWikiBrother (talk) 20:38, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
- I have added an image of the quote from Super Mario Bros. CaptainGalaxy 22:16, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
"sic"
[edit]Is the "sic" really necessary? It's not obvious to me what's incorrect about the quote. * Pppery * it has begun... 21:02, 12 February 2024 (UTC)
- The proper punctuation is "Thank you, Mario, but our princess is in another castle!" I feel people may attempt to correct it in good faith. Given that the actual quote is "Thank you Mario! But our princess is in another castle!", it should be preserved as it is said ingame. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 21:03, 12 February 2024 (UTC)
- If people try to correct it, simply point them to the article's only image, where the original phrasing is obvious. Unless sourcing discusses the improper (though not really incorrect) punctuation, I don't think {{sic}} is needed. – Rhain ☔ (he/him) 23:08, 12 February 2024 (UTC)
- If so, people can remove it. I don't have a strong opinion, just thought it would make sense. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 00:48, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
- It's not improper; I've removed it. 162 etc. (talk) 03:53, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
