Batangas Line
[edit]PRI showed a new map, showing the line will branch between Bay & San Pablo (north of San Pablo Station), instead of between San Pablo and Candelaria (south of San Pablo station). If the line will branch north of San Pablo station, the line will definitely go westward through Alaminos and Lipa, then going south towards Batangas City, which will bypass San Antonio. San Antonio station will be scrapped, and a new station (Lipa station) should be proposed. Now, if we consider the original plan (branching out south of San Pablo Station), San Antonio station is feasible, but Lipa station will not be feasible.
In summary,
branch out NORTH of San Pablo Station - San Antonio station infeasible, LIPA station FEASIBLE. branch out SOUTH of San Pablo Station - SAN ANTONIO station feasible, Lipa station infeasible. Palpogi (talk) 02:02, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
