[edit]@Ucucha: Who defined this group? cygnis insignis 05:08, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
- Not sure if he was the first to define it, but it seems to have mostly been Fred Ford (who is cited a few times in the references). His book Native Mice and Rats (with Bill Breed) defines the pebble-mound mice as a subgroup of Pseudomys (p. 27) and says they deserve their own genus (p. 16). Unfortunately nobody seems to actually have taken the formal taxonomic step of splitting up Pseudomys, and Ford is no longer publishing on rodents. Ucucha (talk) 05:14, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks. I will keep an eye out as introduce myself to this area, still reading about it, there is some papers at BHL by some authors who looked at related taxa. Clever fellows, the mice that is. cygnis insignis 08:55, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
