Appliances?

[edit]

The article makes references to "appliances", which makes me imagine a bunch of blenders, mixers, and food processors were used, but from the context, I gather fire engines were sent (I hope) to the fire. It must be British dialect, but please link to the appropriate article. Boneyard90 (talk) 13:23, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to be confussion

[edit]

10mmsocket, I wanted to explain the issue that arose on this page about Karen Pedley back in March. On 19 March you (rightly) deleted the section about Pedley being a possible suspect, saying: "Neither the press article, nor the Sky TV programme (which I have just watched) make any mention of the hotel in relation to the suspect. Thus, this is conjecture / original research WP:OR." This was absolutely correct because I had actually added the wrong source - I added the "Women Who Kill" documentary titled Karen Pedley by mistake, when I meant to cite it to the "Nurses who Kill" documentary on Karen Pedley [1] instead. So after you deleted the content on 19 March I realised my mistake and re-added the content on 27 March with the correct reference: [2]. However, you then immediately deleted it [3] and said "Sorry but none of those references name the woman. Thiis is a serious BLP infringement even if the person named is a convicted criminal". I think you assumed that I had re-added the original content with the same, incorrect, documentary, as the one I added the second time very much does name her and the content was then correctly verified. I thought I would clarify this as I can see it's a mistake that would have been easy to make, and I obviously won't re-add the content if it causes issues, I just think we just got off to the wrong start and I wanted to try and reconciliate.
