The ZIP code gives it a mailing address of Morrisville, but it isn't "in" Morrisville

[edit]

This is a common artifact of the ZIP code system: certain town names become arbitrarily assigned to their entire surrounding areas. I am going to change "in" to "near". Please do not revert this based on the simplistic reason that "the mailing address says "Morrisville". Thanks. — Lumbercutter 18:31, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is in Morrisville, just not the borough of Morrisville. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.54.94.49 (talk) 01:54, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, no, it is in Falls Township. Anything not in the borough of Morrisville isn't in Morrisville, although as mentioned above, the ZIP code system has led people not to understand how that works. The people who designed the system screwed up that aspect of it by forcing addresses in a township to include in their mailing address the name of the local post office where their mail is routed through, even if it is in (and thus named for) a neighboring town. The city names tied to ZIP codes often do not correspond to municipal boundaries. PhilaRegion1062 (talk) 23:03, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Google Maps says "Pennsbury Manor State Park", but it's not a state park

[edit]

Thanks, Dincher—you are correct that it is not a state park. Both Google Maps and a paper map that I have label the area "Pennsbury Manor State Park", but PA DCNR's website does not list it as one. Maybe it used to be one (?), but currently it is clearly a Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission site. — Lumbercutter 19:45, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The List of Pennsylvania state parks shows loads of info about current and former Pennsylvania state parks. Dincher 20:11, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Need additions about reconstruction

[edit]

As none of the manor house was left and the site had to be found, it was reconstructed, not restored. Need dates, cost, donees, etc. for this effort. Parkwells (talk) 17:24, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
