Non-free material
[edit]In response to the claim that this article contains "This article may contain excessive or improper use of non-free material."
Its not true that its all from 1 non-free source. Actually 3 sources are used, 2 of which allow free use.
The 3 Sources are
1. Marxists.org which allows public use
2. A Soviet textbook which is in the public domain
3. A brief quote from Lukac's History and Class Consciousness

People's democracy (Marxism–Leninism) → People's democracy – The ideological concept of people's democracy is more notable then the groups which take the same from the aforementioned concept... The Irish group, People's Democracy (Ireland), is notable (but not a well-known topic outside of Ireland), and there is a bigger chance for communists (and non-communists) around the world to have heard of people's democracy, the ideological concept, and People's Democracy, the Irish group... When it comes to the Indian newspaper, People's Democracy (newspaper) (which is published by the Communist Party of India (Marxist)), that newspaper is not notable outside of India (maybe not even notable outside of the Communist Party of India (Marxist).. And again, the newspaper takes it name from this ideological concept. The People's Democracy article should be moved to "People's Democracy (disambiguation)"... A quick search on Google Books gives only hits for people's democracy (the ideological concept, and the "form of government" - that is, if you are able to see the difference between the form of government before and after people's democracy..) .. At last, it was the form of government of the People's Republic of Hungary, People's Republic of Poland, the People's Republic of Bulgaria, People's Republic of Romania, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (they stopped referring to themselves as a people's democracy along time ago though), Lao People's Democratic Republic (the same as with North Korea, stopped referring to itself as such) the Czechoslovak People's Republic and the People's Republic of China (they refer to their government as the people's democratic dictatorship, but same thing).
A search for "People's Democracy" "Ireland" gives only 27,700 hits, a search for "People's Democracy" "Irish" gives 101,000 hits and a search for "People's Democracy" "march" (they are famous for going on a march, and being attacked) gave 77,800 hits.. Which all sounds great, but a search for "People's Democracy" "government" gives 361,000 hits and a search for "People's Democracy" "theory" gives 155,000 hits.. Its clear from a very simple google search what is most notable. A search for "People's Democracy" "India" gives it 253,000 hits, making it, surprisingly, more notable then the Irish group. --TIAYN (talk) 08:20, 15 August 2014 (UTC)

- the above is the nominator
- Comment this is a misformated multimove request. The rationale indicates the move of the disambigaution page, but the request template is missing that information. -- 65.94.169.222 (talk) 05:08, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose Using the view stats for July, People's Democracy (Marxism–Leninism) has 0 hits [1]. Further there is no citation of any variety in the article. No reason, at this time, to believe this is primary topic. For current purposed I believe people are better served with a dab page in this case.--Labattblueboy (talk) 05:50, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Labattblueboy: that's because I moved the article... First, that is WP:OR.. Secondly, you would have thought the form of government of the People's Republic of Hungary, People's Republic of Poland, the People's Republic of Bulgaria, the Czechoslovak People's Republic and the People's Republic of China (they refer to their government as the people's democratic dictatorship, but same thing) were more notable then a mere newspaper and a small Irish political organization, wouldn't you think?. --TIAYN (talk) 06:58, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- Noted as to ref name. People's Democracy (Marxism) had 281 hits in July[2]. The People's Democracy (Ireland) had 499 hits[3] and People's Democracy (newspaper) had 250 hits[4]. So that "small Irish political organization" is getting almost twice as many visits as the article you are suggesting should be the lead. My position remains the same.--Labattblueboy (talk) 07:56, 15 August 2014 (UTC)

- @Labattblueboy: But still a search for "People's Democracy" "Ireland" gives only 27,700 hits, a search for "People's Democracy" "Irish" gives 101,000 hits and a search for "People's Democracy" "march" (they are famous for going on a march, and being attacked) gave 77,800 hits.. Its clear from a very simple google search what is most notable. .. At last, I'm guessing, but the majority of readers of WP are from English-speaking countries, thus not very surprising that an Irish group has more hits on WP then the far more notable subject of the form of government of the former Eastern European socialist republics or the present ones... From notability standpoint (with a quick search on google), people's democracy (government/theory) is far more notable then the Irish group and a small Indian newspaper--TIAYN (talk) 08:13, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- For those of you who don't think this article looks notable enough, I'm currently working on a rewrite (expansion), see User:Trust Is All You Need/Sandbox2. --TIAYN (talk) 10:04, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- Comment: Since this discussion was opened (about 16 hours ago), the OP has moved this article from People's Democracy (Marxism–Leninism) to People's democracy (Marxism–Leninism). If TIAYN thinks that the title with parentheses should not have a capital "D", why should the target article have a capital "D"? People's democracy exists as a redirect. The logical thing would be to move this article to there. If it were then made into a half-decent article—but not before then—People's Democracy with a capital "D" could be made a redirect to it. At the moment, there is a lot of rhetoric on talk pages, and some muddled thinking and changing of minds, but minimal effort towards writing an informative article. Scolaire (talk) 10:26, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Scolaire: fix... I didn't notice it before today... I've started working, as I've mentioned, in my sandbox2. --TIAYN (talk) 12:41, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose, I have edited the redirect from People's democracy to link to People's Democracy which is the disambiguation page. Gregkaye (talk) 14:00, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Gregkaye: OK? It redirected to People's Republic so what does that have to do with this discussion. Also, if I can ask, why the oppose? --TIAYN (talk) 20:39, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- The terminology People's D/democracy is used by the disambiguation. Let's not generate confusion. Gregkaye (talk) 20:50, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- On second thoughts, I agree with Greg. Different capitalization leading to two different articles is confusing and should be avoided. I hadn't noticed the link to User:Trust Is All You Need/Sandbox2. This is a better place to work on the article. When it has reached an acceptable standard and merged into this one, the requested move could be revisited. Scolaire (talk) 07:17, 16 August 2014 (UTC)
