Re Prod

[edit]

Non-notable Software? I guess cause it's a game, but PernMUSH is one of the oldest (if not the oldest) Pern themed MUSHes in existance. And as much as it pains me to say it, Anne's works are pretty well known. If you really feel it should be deleted, RfD it, but I'd be sad to see it go. You don't get a lot of online games that've lasted this long. -- Ipstenu 19:06, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have tagged the article for notability and references. If nothing is forthcoming over the next few months, I will take it to AfD. Marasmusine 09:44, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I put up some refs to books and another website. I'm not 100% sure what you're looking for, though, so please feel free to point me in another direction :) -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 14:16, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I did a rewrite to reflect the reality of 2016. PernMUSH is dead, but it is a moderately-relevant example that is cited in the academic literature on virtual environments. Added citations to several journal papers. michaelrhanson 18:54, 19 Dec 2016 (UTC)

Lead paragraph

[edit]

The previous description "an online role-playing game" is not enough to establish context; an RPG can be played online by e-mail or in a web forum with a human arbiter; a MUSH is not that. MUSH is a technical term, the least thing the lead paragraph can do is link to the MUSH article and describe it by explaining the jargon. Diego (talk) 16:47, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
