Third tallest?
[edit]I do not believe this is the third tallest, since it and the Washington Monument are shorter than the San Jacinto Monument in La Porte, Texas. The San Jacinto Monument is 570 feet high and the Washington Monument is only 555 feet, and the Perry's Victory is 352 feet.
- Correct. I think the intent was to compare heights among National Memorials (San Jacinto is a state-owned memorial), but am not sure. I shall reword the article anyway. — Eoghanacht talk 18:04, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
falcon
[edit]A peregrine falcon takes residence on the memeorial. Somone should add this. email me at andrew.mahlman@gmail.com if you need any help.

"This year three birds, previously hatched at Miami Fort Station, have been located in Ohio. Powerhouse, hatched in 2002, has mated with Princess and nested atop the Fourth and Vine Tower in downtown Cincinnati. Female Striker, hatched in 2001, has taken up residence with her mate in the Toledo area at Commodore Perry. Majesty, hatched in 2002, has been located nesting in Lima, Ohio at the Bank One building." http://entcon.duke-employee.com/PublicAffairs/fyi/07050801.htm —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 192.234.167.242 (talk) 11:25, 7 May 2007 (UTC).

"Established as Perry's Victory National Monument by Franklin D. Roosevelt on June 2, 1936"
Two informations out of the article. Is ist possible or wrong?--Druffeler (talk) 09:48, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
References a mess
[edit]The references section is totally useless, since other than reference #1, it contains a list of links that are not referred to by inline citations. Furthermore, the links are broken! Can anyone repair them? --Tdimhcs (talk) 21:36, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Nearest City
[edit]What is the meaning of "nearest city" in the infobox? If it should mean "nearest incorporated municipality", then the monument is inside of one, the Village of Put-in-Bay. If it should mean "nearest municipality designated as a city under Ohio law", then the nearest would be Port Clinton. Finally, if it should mean "nearest major city", Toledo is arguably a better choice than Sandusky. Gdefreitas (talk) 02:24, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
