Internet Fame section[edit]

I have a few problems with the Internet Fame section of this Wiki page. I don't think it should be completely removed but I don't think the current way it is written is very encyclopedic. For example, is Kessel "laughing hysterically after Pierre McGuire asked him about his breath" really that important it deserves to be mentioned on his Wiki page? It seems to be written from a fans point of view and could use a comb through. I will try and do it but I am leaving this note here for discussion. There are also phrases like "turned him into an anti-hero for hockey fans" that appear to be a fans point of view and isn't backed by sources. I removed this chunk [1] as well as this [2] although maybe mentioning the tweet about being snubbed could be fully moved to the Internet Fame section. I just noticed that Bardown actually wrote an article about how Wiki has a section called "Internet Fame": [3]. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 05:13, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would just remove the whole section, it was likely added by an over zealous fan and never removed. It is sort of WP:TRIVIAish. Anything super notable could be merged into the actual career section. -DJSasso (talk) 17:40, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. The only slightly possible events that aren't small non-notable hockey clips/teammates having fun is the Obama thing (just because he was the President) and the Stanley Cup hot dogs (only because it is already mentioned in the article that he brought his first Cup to Sick Kids). I will leave this here in case anyone else wants to share their opinion but if no one does within a few days I (or anyone who wants to) will remove the entire section and try to merge it with the article in an encyclopedic way. It's been a few days so I will start editing/deleting the section. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 18:48, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Phil Kessel trade report[edit]

Was Phil Kessel traded? There are reports out there but is it official. People need to stop changing he's on another team when there is nothing official yetBlackhawksfan1445 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 00:08, 30 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Phil was traded to the Coyotes around 7:30 pm today. Hlsparrow (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 00:16, 30 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Career Statistics Errors[edit]

Almost all of the statistics in the Career Statistics section are inflated. Please Correct. 211.206.46.52 (talk) 03:17, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Consecutive games including play-offs[edit]

I've added a [citation needed] to the Records section, as the (now removed) reference only mentioned 981 games as the record (when Yandle was scratched). Haven't been able to find a reference myself. 155.190.13.13 (talk) 00:12, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
