Image:Pnsmanual2.gif is being used on this article. Naval and Coast Guard Commissions

re Naval and Coast Guard Commissions are these active or reserve commissions, i.e do graduates have to serve an active term in the Navy or Coast Guard before being released to civilian service or are they immediately free to pursue a civilian career but can be called up for active service only if needed.
