I am open to others editing this page. However, the company is an organisation of repute and therefore the page should exist.

Phonon corporate (talk)Sohan

Well, you don't own the page, per WP:OWN, so you cannot stop others editing it. And also, you need to show why it's notable, and remove the promotional text. Joseph2302 (talk) 14:24, 5 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because Phonon is an organisation of repute and it deserves a Wikipedia page. Please check references on the Wikipedia page. These references are by leading business periodicals and online portals of India. Therefore the Page should be retained. [1] [2] [3] [4]

In case further edits can be made, to make it further neutral, please suggest and advise.

Notability Guidelines

[edit]

This page meets the notability guidelines since: 1. There is direct third party referencing to the organisation by notable third party sources. This is not incidental or trivial coverage. 2. This referencing is verifiable through the given references.[1] [2] [3] [4]

Macky0209 (talk) 03:59, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please note the above reference to meeting notability guidelines. As per Wikipedia:Notability (Organizations and Companies):

This page in a nutshell: An organization is generally considered notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. Trivial or incidental coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not sufficient to establish notability. All content must be verifiable. If no independent, third-party, reliable sources can be found on a topic, then Wikipedia should not have an article on it.

The above references clearly indicate that the page is in compliance with the guidelines and therefore issue regarding notability guidelines should be removed.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Macky0209 (talkcontribs) Macky0209 (talkcontribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.

I disagree, but I've started a discussion about whether the article is notable enough or not at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Phonon Communications. Joseph2302 (talk) 13:01, 10 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of Interest

[edit]

Since this article is open to edit by others, the Conflict of Interest mark-up should be removed. Macky0209 (talk) 03:59, 6 June 2015 (UTC)macky0209[reply]

No, because it hasn't been reviewed and cleaned up by others yet. The fact is that the only major contributor does have a COI. Joseph2302 (talk) 10:34, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This page has been significantly edited and stubbed, since last edit by the first author to ensure removal of conflict of interest. Consider removal or COI and Advert. Macky0209 (talk) 12:56, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Contested Advertisement

[edit]

The content has been edited considerably since the feedback regarding content being advertorial in nature and therefore the Advertisement Issue should be considered for removal.

Macky0209 (talk) 04:02, 6 June 2015 (UTC)macky0209[reply]

I disagree, a product list and everything in bullet points makes it look promotional, rather than WP:neutral point of view. Also, all your contributions have been to this or Ujwal Makhija (about this company's CEO)- are you a new account of User:Phonon corporate- it's fine and legitimate if you are, it's good to know. Joseph2302 (talk) 10:37, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it's the same user. And, we added these contributions since we felt these were now Notable contributions. We can't just call the material promotional since it's objectively listed? Going by the corollary logic, if the articles were not well formatted, would those have been acceptable (at the cost of content quality)? All I am saying is that if the material had references to non-verifiable secondary sources then yes it could have been considered advertorial or promotional. All I have listed are references based on secondary sources. For example, a few other products that are not publicly quoted by secondary sources have not been listed. Therefore, I believe mentioning that this is promotional is a bit harsh and request removal of promotional / advertisment tag. I will again review and remove any parts that do not have references from verifiable secondary sources. Macky0209 (talk)Macky0209
I've removed the advert tag, but I'm not going to remove the COI tag whilst editors with COI continue to edit the article. Joseph2302 (talk) 11:34, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Much appreciate this. I also request that non-confirmation with Notability guidelines for Companies should be removed. Each sentence has a reference from verifiable and reputable secondary source. I have been editing right to ensure that I can meet the guidelines as much as possible. For removal of COI, we can wait for independent 3rd parties.
