GA Review
[edit]- This review is transcluded from Talk:Phumdi/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.
Hello. Starting
- What is the source for the third paragraph of "Issues". The exact percentages need a cite
- I should have known. Now, I have given referenes and citations to all facts.
- Same for the last part of vegetation composition. In general, with complicated data with lots of decimal places etc, a cite should be put right next to it to be safe.
- Now, I have given citations to all facts.
- Some of your units need a nbsp so that it won't be broken across two lines
- Yes, I have added now. Hopefully, at correct places. Please correct me If I am wrong somewhere.
- The indices are quoted but they need an explanation of what they mean. Is 100 or 0 good, or 0.00 or 1.00?
- There is an internal link to this namely, Simpson Indices. I have also given another reference, which gives the range definition from 0 to 1. I have also added internal links to Ph, DO, BOD and also a few external references. I hope thse are adequate.
- Some cites are spaced; these need to be removed so they follow the punctuation without a gap
- I have tried my best to do it. If still some are left by oversight, plese correct me.

- Thanks. I will attend to the review observations. --Nvvchar (talk) 00:41, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- I have complied with your very valid observations and replied below each review note. Hopefully, I have complied with all observations mentioned so far. --Nvvchar (talk) 19:42, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
I've begun giving this a major copyedit. Offhand, I think you need to write another paragraph about wildlife on the phumdi. Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:49, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- All tags for facts have been referenced. Additional sub section on Wild Life has been added now.--Nvvchar (talk) 06:46, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
Excellent. This is now GA quality in my view, I await YM's verdict. Dr. Blofeld White cat 10:45, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
- I went and copyedited it again and fixed the punctuation and units errors. Almost done. What does "Zizania latifolia recorded the highest productivity" mean? Productivity of what? And "Variation of productivity of annuals and perennials were noted according to seasons and type of phumdis" What are annuals and perennials? This sentence is rather woolly YellowMonkey (bananabucket!) 03:02, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, my goodness. My lack of full knowlege of the rules of copy editing. Thanks for the extensive copy editing. This is helpful tutorial for my future articles. Zizania is wild rice (food crop in the area) and its productivity varies from season to season during the year and this has been reported. Annual refers to crop raised once a year and pernennials refer to many seasons in a year. I would rather delete the last sentence, if you agree.--Nvvchar (talk) 04:29, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

Thankyou YM for polishing this off. Dr. Blofeld White cat 08:52, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
