Changes required in light of Executive Order 13895 of October 22, 2019[edit]

Executive order 13895 repeals President Obama's previous rechartering. I've added that to the introduction. I haven't analyzed the full impact of the new order on this article, and that should be done. For example:

The new order states that funding and administrative support shall be provided by the Department of Energy, while the old order specified the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). Does this change the "parent agency" of PCAST? The Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy is still the chair of PCAST, and their website is still under NITRD, which is part of OSTP, so this is unclear to me.

I'm sure there are other things that need updating.

In need of an Update[edit]

Recently, I undid a rather large edit that supposedly contained the new members of this Council for a couple of reasons. First, it was unsourced, and I was unable to find any sources online of the new members. Second, the user who made the change did so with little formatting. Third, the new edits included a reference to "Shane Wall." Since Katieannburton, the user who made the edit is also working on a Draft for an article about Shane Wall (Draft:Shane Wall), I don't think this edit came from a very neutral point of view.

I can clearly see this page needs some love, but this isn't the kind of love it should have, or deserves. Shaun 17:54, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Changes for Biden administration[edit]

President Biden pretty-much revamped PCAST a week after taking office, almost a year ago.

I will be busy the next few days helping some colleagues prepare something to be sent to PCAST, and I don't have time to edit the Wikipedia article. So, here is the next best thing: some links to references:
