separate article for list of winners?!

No concensus to split at this time. Per Alantheodoresherman's comment, it may be worth reconsidering in say 2050

I don't see the point of a separate article for winners. Just move the list before the end matter. Note that the Pan-Am Intercollegiate page doesn't have a separate winner's article.

Separately, I think title should also have phrase "President's Cup" since that is the proper name of the event. regardless, be sure that wiki search finds this page from keyphrase "President's Cup" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alantheodoresherman (talkcontribs) 02:26, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see the point in the separate article either. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 02:29, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No need for a split, and no benefit in doing so either. Quale (talk) 04:43, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Now I don't see a point in splitting, but this is a wiki style issue. Same decision should apply to similar pages (e.g., Pan-Am).

At some point, when a table becomes extremely long, there would be value in putting it on a separate page.

Follow the same style used on Secretary of Education of Puerto Rico. WP:STANDALONE, WP:SUMMARY, WP:EMBED, and WP:SYNC cover this matter. Essentially you want this article's focus to be on its main subject. A table like the one presented today shifts the article's focus towards the records. Put solely the year and its winner on the section and WP:STANDALONE the fully pledged list on an article on its own. This is acceptable on Wikipedia. —Ahnoneemoos (talk) 00:10, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is no reason to have a separate article for the list of winners. The list is much too short at this time. Maybe in 30 or 40 years. Kingturtle = (talk) 01:11, 6 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Winners and venues

Why does this table have "Host" and "Organizer" columns? I do not see that information in other tables of regularly held chess tournaments, either in Wiki or elsewhere. Seeing Booz Allen Hamilton and Two Sigma in this table several times, I thought, what is this, product placement? Bruce leverett (talk) 19:32, 6 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
