It is suggested that the originator of the article place a footnote in regard to Puerto Rico's relationship with the United States.

GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose): b (MoS): Develop (Expand) lead a little bit more; make it cover all aspects of the article in a brief summary
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): The references are there, but they are not cited properly. Please look at the Cite Web template and follow its instructions. Also, while not necessary, you could try to find a book source b (citations to reliable sources): I put in one cite needed tag c (OR):
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
a (major aspects): There is nothing about its Relationship with Humans except for a sentance in the lead. Make a new section at the end of the article and talk about how it became Puerto Rico's national bird: Why was a bird that only became a species in 1997 chosen over, say, the Puerto Rican Parrot? Did it play a role in the lives of the natives? Also, is there anything about its conservation you could add? b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
a (fair representation): b (all significant views):
  5. It is stable.
Talk page and history both correspond to references and no major upsets.
  6. It contains images, where possible, to illustrate the topic.
a (tagged and captioned): b lack of images (does not in itself exclude GA): c (non-free images have fair use rationales):
  7. Overall:
    a Pass/Fail:
