I have not edited W'pedia pages for several years so I am posting here in the hope that an editor will read this and make changes accordingly re the fruit type found in Pyracantha. Pyracantha fruits are NOT pomes, but rather are polypyrenous drupes, much like those of hawthorns (Crataegus). Some references for this assertion follow.
