Oh come on

[edit]

Is this really necessary? You might as well just watch the episodes if you're after this sort of information. Which no-one is, by the way. It's a comedy show, not an ancient civilisation. Ironically, considering the show's purpose, I can think of nothing less interesting to spend time documenting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.218.225.124 (talk) 06:04, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How presumptuous. I occasionally read the information if I just want to know what was said rather than have to watch the show - not to say that I don't. Either way, it is documented on the other series' pages so it would be good to keep it consistent. Dalyup! (talk) 19:24, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

I recently got a message about the creation of QI (G series) and worries about copyright. I actually took the material from QI (F series) and this is used as the basis of all the QI series. If anything, I believe that the article claiming the copyright problems took the material from Wikipedia. ISD (talk) 19:19, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is fine, but I deleted some stuff relating to broadcast dates, when the series hasn't been broadcast. Biscit (talk) 10:56, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Recording date

[edit]

Given as 2008 in one place and 2009 in another, though 8 May in both cases. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ClickRick (talkcontribs) 00:06, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Broadcast Dates

[edit]

What is your reference for the episode order? ISD (talk) 21:11, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Um ... shome mishtake, shurely?

[edit]

The article currently states that for the Gravity episode "[t]he set is decorated with grotesques, bats, black cloth and candles. All the panellists are dressed in black."

Seriously? For an episode about gravity? Surely this set decroation would have been used for the Gothic episode? --Stenun (talk) 05:40, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Geography": smallest mountain range

[edit]

In the XL episode I believe the name of the mountain range is actually omitted rather than erroneously given as the Sacramento Mountains, rather only the capital city's name is mentioned. In any event the actual name of the range is the Sutter Buttes, if a correction is to be posted. (I'm not sure whether to post it myself since I see no mention of it on the Qibbles blog.) Trovise (talk) 09:36, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The blog is a little slow. Have you sent them an email about the error? ISD (talk) 13:00, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Forfeits

[edit]

If we're going to list these, we ought to make sure the reader can tell the question (or whatever) to which each was a bad answer. In some cases, they just need to look at the first sentence of the paragraph to work it out. But in others, it seems impossible to tell. In the Germany episode, the ambiguity is AOTP in the form of the "don't mention the war" general forfeit, with no indication of how somebody mentioned the war. And We Should Stop Scattering Capital Letters All Over These For No Reason At All. -- Smjg (talk) 00:17, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to be bold and move the forfeit info next to the bit to which it relates in those cases where I can figure it out, as it's the easy way to make it clear, among other cleanups. I'm not sure whether they should be italicised or anything like that for visibility. -- Smjg (talk) 12:06, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Correction?

[edit]

Episode 13: Van Hoch > Gogh and I believe Mr. Fry explicitly said the word "zombie" did NOT come from Haiti. Extra reference: http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?search=zombie&searchmode=none —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.47.144.254 (talk) 21:50, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why no XL?

[edit]

I was just wondering why there is no XL version for episodes 1, 2, and 3. I'm an American viewer through torrents and I was surprised to find that they just don't exist. --Colleen3217 (talk) 05:53, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Colleen? So not the place to ask. d; — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.132.59.209 (talk) 03:10, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just leave it.

[edit]

I've been watching the entire QI series recently and found it very useful that this entire wiki section is done the way it is. If there was something on the show that peaked my interest, I could just scroll down to the episode I was watching and start Google'ing from there. More detail is always better, (that's why HD was invented, right?) and it's not like there aren't enough bytes available on the web. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.132.59.209 (talk) 03:08, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
