Very interesting information... kind of starts and ends abruptly, though. Djcartwright 08:48, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Periphrastic Future Indicative
[edit]Another important feature of the Quebec French verb is the usual formation of the future indicative by a periphrastic form using the verb "aller". E.g. "j'va aller" instead of "j'irai" ("I will go"), "tu vas manger" instead of "tu mangeras" ("you will eat"). Pictonon (talk) 02:16, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Examples of "Quebec French"
[edit]There is a number of examples of colloquial usage that are not specific to the colloquial style of Québécois French. Many are also heard in colloquial European French:
Mon rêve c'est de partir en Afrique - Donne-moi-le - Dis-moi-pas - Donne-moi-pas-en
I am no expert on the specifics of Quebec French, so I do not want to edit the entry--but someone more knowledgeable should give this article another look.
I also found it strange that general points of the evolution of the French language were included ("as in the rest of Francophonie...") -- that seems irrelevant to the article's stated intention. If you retain those points, I suggest you replace Francophonie with a real English term: the French-speaking world.
I totally agree with the last message. Many features presented here are not specific to Québécois French nor Canadian French, but can also be found in colloquial European French. I'm going to remove some examples. 90.9.177.187 (talk) 11:05, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
