"It is a waste of time, and this program, should be taken off the air"

I deleted this at the end of the article as it is not NPOV. Capper01 16:38, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Videos added

[edit]

Sorry, I don't have a login but have updated two links in the article to point directly to videos of the noted incidents (Phone malfunction and specific Chaser sketch rather than Chaser website)

2 Minute Bonus Round

[edit]

The segment showed taped footage of a Quizmania two minute bonus round, where the host stalled for a large part of the round and fewer calls were taken than possible, despite the claim of "as many calls as possible".

Just wondering why this part was changed. It used to state "no calls were taken" but was changed to "fewer calls were taken than possible". However if you watch the linked video the host of the segment clearly says no calls were taken. Anyone have any reason why it shouldn't be reverted to the original "no calls were taken". Samatic 09:48, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Since no one seemed to have any issues with it I changed it back. I believe it is now more accurate and to the point. Samatic 03:58, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

3 August Technical Problems

[edit]

It says there were technical problems on the 3rd August episode, but that is a Thursday, and the show is not aired on Thursdays... SchueyFan 14:08, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

August 3 as in from the Tuesday's programming schedule which would show shows starting from midnight? That would be technically on the Thursday, but "feel" like that Wednesday. RandomEcho 15:31, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, i thought of that after i posted it. SchueyFan 13:45, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mixed emotions

[edit]

Although I despise having to legitimise Quizmania, it has to made clear to future generations that these programs are shit. Htra0497 20:30 1st September 2006 (AET)

Aussie drama series' "suffered"

[edit]

I have removed:

"Aussie Drama Series like Stingers and Water Rats have also suffered by Quizmania replacing them, although in Queensland, due to time differences, Stingers airs every Tuesday and Wednesday Morning."

because this is just a desperate emotional sentence to further criticise the show, and not NPOV. While the shows were replaced by Quizmania, they were repeats of old axed shows. shown at about 1am, and doing so hardly caused 'suffering' to the Australian television drama series industry. Seo75 08:48, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that this comment was false and glad it is now removed. They have already been through suffering by getting axed! Anyone who wants to watch them again can get Foxtel. --Lakeyboy 12:25, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Subliminal advertising

[edit]

I have removed:

"There have been reports of subliminal advertising in Quizmania. E.g. Under the "tower" where it says what is happening, for instance Double Money, if you look closely when it flips vertically, "CALL NOW!!" flashes up."

because this can't be called "subliminal advertising" when the presenters, all night, plead with viewers to call in. I believe the flashing effect is a limitation of the on-screen graphics software. Seo75 08:48, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I personally believe it to be subliminal advertising and very highly doubt that it is graphics software limitations. It is meant to catch your attention while looking at the tower. But it is best to leave it out until a media source states this subliminal advertising. --Lakeyboy 12:27, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Games Sandbox

[edit]

I just made a Page on my sandbox for drafts for the game stuff. I dont watch the show after 2am so yeah. -- Punk Boi 8 03:37, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious

[edit]

Which hosts have said that the show is set to return at a later stage? Can this be referenced?  SEO75 [talk] 06:00, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Suze Raymond and Amy Parks "Although Quizmania is gone, FOR NOW! We will be back!" it is technically not officially true as they are not producers but they DID technically state it, look it up on youtube. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scorpio87 (talkcontribs) 04:26, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Once again, cite it. Wikipedia is not a place for original research, and we must cite sources to prove content on here.  SEO75 [talk] 04:31, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Nikki Osborne Amy Parks Quizmania.jpg

[edit]

Image:Nikki Osborne Amy Parks Quizmania.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit]

The image Image:KatrinaConder.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.
