old-mongolian[edit]

Just read on a russian site, that kitaj is an old-mongolian word for middle. R. B. Kitaj's name comes from the old word for Japan (really then for the middle kingdom, China?). So how is this Cathay pronounced (Pound uses it a lot)?--Radh (talk) 11:45, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

sandra fisher reason of death[edit]

hello,
note that in Sandra's Fisher article it's written:
"She died at age 47 from hyperacute haemorrhagic leuco-encephalitis (not an aneurysm, as is commonly written)."

Life[edit]

At the end of the first paragraph is written: " Richard Wollheim, the philosopher and David Hockney remained lifelong friends." Should this be reworded to clarify that they remained lifelong friends "of" or "to" R.B. Kitaj. Contextually this seems to make sense, but as written, it sounds like we've gone off on a tangent to mention that David Hockney remained a lifelong friend of Richard Wollheim. Article requires picture-urgent![edit]

It is intolerable that an article about a painter or visual artist should fail to include a single image of any kind, much less a representative example of the artists' work. I make this comment as a personal note to see about same in the future. MinnesotanUser (talk) 08:22, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
