The result of the move request was: Moved Ragnar Kjartansson (artist) to Ragnar Kjartansson (performance artist) and Ragnar Kjartansson (sculptor) was not moved, as per User:In ictu oculi. (non-admin closure) Red Slash 06:16, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

– Both these people with the same name are artists and sculptors, so the current disambiguation scheme doesn't work. Dates seem to me the most straightforward solution. Srnec (talk) 21:13, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose per WP:NCPDAB ("Years of birth and death are not normally used as disambiguators (readers are more likely to be seeking this information than to already know it)"). Move instead to Ragnar Kjartansson (sculptor, born 1923) and Ragnar Kjartansson (artist, born 1976). Both of the current titles should redirect to the dab Ragnar Kjartansson, tagged with {{R from incomplete disambiguation}}. --BDD (talk) 19:25, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Alternative User:Srnec, User:BDD, May I suggest instead Ragnar Kjartansson (performance artist) according what article and sources actually say. Cannot see any evidence that the performance artist's "installations" such as himself in a bath playing a guitar, are likely to be confused with Ragnar Kjartansson (sculptor)'s sculptures. Not a bad idea. There isn't much to support the idea of the contemporary artist as a sculptor. In that case, I'd prefer to only move his article, figuring that anyone searching for Ragnar Kjartansson (sculptor) is looking for, you know, an actual sculptor. --BDD (talk) 20:05, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
