In sidebar "Studio album by Beyoncé", in the Studio text section, there are two typos:

Change "Ochi Rios" to Ocho Rios" Change "Jamiaca" to "Jamaica" Anamari lapatatita (talk) 16:51, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

 Done Handmeanotherbagofthemchips (talk) 18:28, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Anamari lapatatita and Handmeanotherbagofthemchips I've undone the change to Ochi Rios. Ochi Rios is what the locals call it (its the native name as explained on its wikipage) and how it is listed in the credits. We shouldn't anglicize it for the sake of it. >> Lil-unique1 (talk)19:20, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Lil-unique1: I thought it was ok, because the wikipedia article about the place seems to be "ocho", not "ochi". Plus, isn't "Jamiaca" a misspelling? Handmeanotherbagofthemchips (talk) 21:21, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Handmeanotherbagofthemchips Jamaica was a misspelling yes (on my behalf, I originally added the information to the article). However, the album credits refer to the province as Ochi Rios which is the native Jamaican spelling and pronunciation of the place. Given that the credits list it as such and that the first opening sentence of the article says and is more widely referred to as Ochi by locals., I feel we should respect the native land similar to Uluru and Ayers Rock in Australia. >> Lil-unique1 (talk)21:26, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Lil-unique1: Ahh, in that case, i get it. Many thanks for the clarification! Handmeanotherbagofthemchips (talk) 21:39, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 5 August 2022

[edit]

This edit request is in regard to the list of samples for the song "Energy." Please change 'contained a sample of "Milkshake"' to 'contained an interpolation of "Milkshake"' The source listed on this page for that, #69, says it is an interpolation rather than a sample. Right Said Fred's statement on Alien Superstar interpolation, Beyonce's response, The Sun as a source

[edit]

The Sun is discouraged as a source on Wiki but are outlets covering Right Said Fred's statement to The Sun in addition to Beyonce's team's response to their statement to that same source allowed? Onan808 (talk) 17:10, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Since it was an interview and got coverage from other sources its allowed. Direct reporting from the Sun isn't allowed. >> Lil-unique1 (talk)21:55, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

New Tab - Controversy?

[edit]

I noticed that the controversy surrounded by the album's sampling is listed under the Composition tab. Wouldn't it be better suited under a controversy tab? Other album articles with similar topics have them, and it also has nothing to do with the album's composition. Treek23 (talk) 21:08, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Restored how it was previously set out. Not sure who or why it was changed, other than to "disguise" the issue. >> Lil-unique1 (talk)21:56, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Brazil certifications

[edit]

"Cozy" and "Church Girl" were certified Gold and "Alien Superstar" Platinum. I suggest creating a page for those songs.
Additionally, "Find Your Way Back" was certified Gold. GustavoCza (talkcontribs) 21:08, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:NSONGS. Being certified alone doesn't mean its notable. Also sources? >> Lil-unique1 (talk)12:52, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Here the source. "I'm That Girl" and "Heated" were certified Gold today as well. GustavoCza (talkcontribs) 19:07, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Given their appearances on numerous record charts, certifications, and notable appearances on year-end lists, I would contend that "Heated" and "Alien Superstar" more than satisfy the criteria for notability. Everm4e (talk) 07:41, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Adding to genre list

[edit]

I suggest adding Experimental to the list of music genres for this album. Many sources describe the album as being Experimental sounding. I've noticed controversy around adding this genre to the list, so I think it's best to discuss is here. RileyXeon (talk) 04:23, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
