Nina/Sabrina Calio
[edit]Why no mention of Nina (Sabrina Calio) in the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.224.0.214 (talk) 15:35, 28 February 2009 (UTC) Nina was in the TV show. She may have sometimes toured with the Movers, but she is now retired from the show. Thenorthgoingzax (talk) 15:35, 14 December 2019 (UTC)
Fork article on TV show
[edit]To address the question above as well as an issue I have, I wonder if we should create a fork article on the Imagination Movers TV show. It certainly is notable and I think we can find enough RS on it. KuyaBriBriTalk 17:24, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- Disagree, that would be a little redundant. I would try to use The Wiggles article as a model, the Wiggles which has undergone numerous tv incarnations, does not have an article on their TV series.---Balloonman NO! I'm Spartacus! 19:52, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Need some on the supporting roles
[edit]There needs to be something on supporting characters: Knit Knot, Warehouse Mouse, and the female character.---Balloonman NO! I'm Spartacus! 19:52, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
I think you are confusing the TV show with the band. The band is not made up of the supporting characters. Please contact me about state of wikipedia page as it has been blocked for lack of a better description. scott@imaginationmovers.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.179.204.91 (talk) 18:16, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- The article is really about both the TV show and the band. I don't think Imagination Movers has achieved sufficeint independent notability to exist on its own. EG if it wasn't for Disney, IM might not be notable enough to warrant an article. As the TV series is what people know. If I were to take my kids to an IM concert, at this point I would expect to see Knit Knots, Nina, and even Warehouse Mouse at some point in the show. That may not be what you want to hear, but in the eyes of your fans, those three characters are as much a part of the group as Captian Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, and Wags The Dog are of another children's group. (Now with the other group, that was by design from the get go, and based on what you've said above, it appears to be the case due to Disney.)---Balloonman NO! Copyright problems
[edit]This article has a number of copyright problems... the text is way to close to the official website. Rich, SCott, Dave and Smitty] are very close to the original. The text are different enough that it looks like the person did modify it. (Eg changed a few words here and there and reordered some of the sentences, but not enough that you can't see direct attribution.)---Balloonman NO! I'm Spartacus! 20:10, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, another person modified it. The text was placed here, in August of 2008, and it was addressed by an IP contributor here, who attempted to repair the copyright infringement. Unfortunately, what's left there is a close paraphrase that is not usable without verification of permission. To complicate matters, at least two IP contributors have also pasted text: 98.183.93.22 (talk) added text from the official website, including material from a newspaper hosted there (see [1]). 98.179.204.91 (talk) in June also pasted a sentence from [2]. This is the last identifiably clean version of this article. I have used it as the start of a new version, drawing from clearly clean contributions here. It is hosted at Talk:Imagination Movers/Temp. (If it were to be used, it would need to be merged with the last identifiably clean for attribution history; all material incorporated after that date is attributed in edit summary.) We will either need to rewrite this material or to obtain permission for all copied text, including from the copyright holders of any articles displayed at the official website. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 00:03, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
I am representing the Movers and the official website. Not sure what I have to do to bring our wikipedia page back. Please email me so I can assist with this matter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.179.204.91 (talk) 18:20, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- E-mailed. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:27, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- I you are with IM, there is interest in having some information on the supporting cast...---Balloonman NO! I'm Spartacus! 04:48, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
Extent of bios
[edit]I have a small problem with the extent of the members biographies. Given that this article is about the group, and not them, I would normally pull the info about their personal lives as per other band articles. However, given that there has been some discussion regarding the TV Show split, is it not worth splitting into one article for the four members, and then one for the projects? I also thought it strange that there is no credit for the supporting characters from the TV Show. Thedarxide (talk) 11:37, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
Images for each Mover's bio section
[edit]I see images for Rich, Scott, and Dave. There are a few in my Flickr set from the 10/30 show in Indy if a confirmed user would like to use one for his bio section.
