AEA lecture

[edit]

The annual lecture to the American Economic Association is named in his honor. I think that's notable enough to be mentioned. (quick ref [1])radek (talk) 05:55, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ely's middle ground?

[edit]

Which of his works best illustrates his progressive "middle ground" (where he found shelter from plutocracy and socialism)? There is a list of works in the article, but nothing which sets one or the other apart from the rest. 174.50.99.112 (talk) 22:26, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

An assumption in the article.

[edit]

The article just assumes that the government spending and regulations policies that Richard Ely supported would have the positive effects that he hoped they would. No where in the article is it considered that higher government spending and more regulations might have negative effects.2A02:C7E:1CC3:8A00:AC8C:262C:EA00:C5B9 (talk) 16:57, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
