A detail maybe, but while Welch trained as a silversmith, much of his most notable work was carried out in other materials such as stainless steel, and even the stuff that was made in silver was largely executed by others (most notably John Limbrey [1])

Fiona McCarthy's obituary in The Guardian [2] was clear both that his silver work was largely overlooked and that Welch himself considered it secondary to his work as a designer.

On that basis, wouldn't the article be better being called something like Robert Welch (designer)
