Although the Ziegler source mentions that ranks were the same as the WAAF, I’m not sure that the ranks listed in this article are entirely correct. Ziegler does not mention an actual rank structure, unfortunately. Most of the ranks are correct, but I believe the under officer rank was actually warrant officer. I think this list was likely taken from an old version of the WAAF article, which may not have been correct. I compared the ranks listed here and they are different from the WAAF article as it stands now. WAAF ranks changed during the war, but I’m not sure that this was the case with the WD. Bottom line is I suggest we delete the chart until a bona fide WD source can be found.--BCtalk to me 23:32, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
