Pretty amusing wording here - very odd stuff.
[edit]Maybe reword this? "Frasier consoles her, and this eventually leads them to fornicate."
It's been changed to "sleep together" twice, but somebody keeps coming back in to change it back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lvsxy808 (talk • contribs) 09:53, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Stanford
[edit]I seem to remember that Roz was supposed to have attended Stanford University, causing Frasier to remark, "If you must go to school on the West coast..." Could anybody confirm this and incorporate it into the article perhaps?--Oxonian2006 16:25, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Roz Doyle.jpg
[edit]Image:Roz Doyle.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:49, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Image issues
[edit]The fair use of image:WonderRoz.jpg in this article is questionable. Listed below is/are the reason(s) for this:
• Significance: Non-free content is used only if its presence would significantly increase, or its lack would significantly hinder, understanding the topic of the article. Full policy
At least two problems here. First, the text of the article should be sufficient to convey this information. Second... is this really the only significant, if that since it's a one-off gag, aspect of the character that needs illustrating?
If the above concern(s) can be addressed in light of the relevant policies and/or guidelines, the image use can be retained. If not, the image needs to be removed from the article.
The issue with WonderRoz.jpg has been addressed.

Significance?
[edit]What's the significance of "In the Season 11 episode, Crock Tales it is revealed that her birthday is the 5th of May coinciding with Cinco de Mayo."? It's in the opening section so I presume that throughout the series she made regular reference to 5th of May or something, though I don't recall it? If the author is just pointing out that 5th of May is also the Mexican holiday Cinco de Mayo then it seems quite silly - you could list a national holiday for almost any day of the year but what would be the point?--217.203.146.101 (talk) 22:12, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- No significance at all. Removed. Exploding Boy (talk) 22:58, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
"Rosalinda?"
[edit]Just wondering is there anywhere in the series that confirms her name is in fact Rosalinda, and not just Roz? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.146.128.227 (talk) 23:03, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
Accent
[edit]Is it known why Roz has the same Texas accent that Peri Gilpin has? If she was not able to do a Wisconsin accent, why didn't the makers of the show have her character be a Texan? Jim Michael (talk) 19:01, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
In-universe personal details
[edit]I suggest editing the following paragraph:
- Roz was originally from Bloomer, Wisconsin. Her mother Joanna (Eva Marie Saint) was a longtime politician there and serves as Attorney General. She has a sister, Denise, whom she resents for her supposedly perfect life. Roz's parents are divorced, and she ends her relationship with her father when he starts dating a woman younger than she. Her maternal grandmother was an immigrant from Ireland. Frustrated with small-town Wisconsin, Roz moved to Seattle as an adult to pursue a career in radio, and worked in the industry for about 10 years before joining Frasier.

I think the information about her father dating a younger woman was only mentioned in one episode (at the beginning of season 11) to explain some of her recent behavior, but does not have much relevance to the series. I'm not sure the information about her sister or grandmother has much significance to the series either. Her mother being the attorney general is mentioned more than once, and Roz's mother makes at least one appearance in the series, so I think that part can stay.
