Father's conviction[edit]

I removed a paragraph on McGowan's father's recent murder conviction from the article, which – while factual and reliably sourced – was tenuous in its connection to the article subject, and contained far too much detail. Information such as this about family members should only come in to a biographical article where it can be demonstrated to have impacted on the subject's own life and career.
