[edit]Howdy, to prevent an edit war, I'd like to encourage both KDS4444 and ZonMusicStar to both please use this talk page to explain your changes. The one who does not participate in discussion cannot have consensus. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:40, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- Certainly. I tried to reduce this article to its basic facts about the subject and remove what I saw as largely superfluous material about the subject's books that had nothing to do with the subject. This meant that the final product was a good deal shorter, which in my mind meant it was more concise and direct rather than rambling and discursive. I would like to hear the other side of the story, however. KDS4444Talk 06:22, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- I added information that I found relevant. If someone is to contribute to the article he/she should edit the content and not outrageously delete the entire article. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ZonMusicStar (talk • contribs) 09:24, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- Though I believe KDS4444 had good intentions, I think the cuts went too deep. Subject is notable for being a writer, thus it seems relevant to his notability to include a list of books in the way that we would present a singer's discography or an actor's filmography. This is underscored by the fact that at least one of the subject's works have been adapted into a notable film. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 11:55, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
Renovation
[edit]In these 14 edits I did a fairly significant renovation of the article. I got rid of a few references that didn't seem relevant to Zaidi and/or that were tangential to him. I cleaned up some of the grammar and confusing statements. Some things didn't need to be said either because they were confusing or somewhat promotional. Most of my edits are explained in each edit summary in case you wonder about my rationale. Oh, and there was some funkiness. I noticed that some of the content seemed to be copied verbatim from Mafia Queens of Mumbai That's problematic, and I tried to undo that. It could still use more tweaking if anyone's game. Any questions? Drop me a note here. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 13:34, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
