Discography

[edit]

does anyone have any ideas as to how saint etienne's discorgraphy should be arranged? i've tried on several occasions to find a way to make it imformative, but the same problems keep reacurring, do they really need an EPs section?, and since they have had so many albums, bsides, rarities, fan club etc it's difficult to arrange.

the reason eps shoud be separate from singles is because of resurection and places to visit are out of place their, but neither fit as album entries.Chadwholovedme 13:46, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Accents

[edit]

Regarding today's copy-and-paste move and addition of accents to the band name - the band's called Saint Etienne, not Saint Étienne. They have never used the acute accent on any of their artwork or the official or fan websites, as far as I can see. --ajn (talk) 17:05, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Finisterre.jpg

[edit]

Image:Finisterre.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:12, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New band photo

[edit]

While the current photo of the band in live performance is fine, I think it would be appropriate to also feature a picture of Bob, Pete and Sarah on their own. As it is, Bob, who is the soul of the group, isn't featured at all. However, I am a total noob with regards to figuring out what pictures would be usable under fair use. Why is there no mention of Moira Lambert who originally sang on 'Only Love will break your heart'? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pandaplodder (talkcontribs) 14:10, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia that you can edit!! Cop 663 (talk) 18:53, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Amazing! Actually, Moira Lambert is already mentioned in the article, and on their discography page. - eo (talk) 19:00, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sampled so often.

[edit]

I lost count of the amount of times I heard Saint Etienne on a TV advertisement, or just as general backing music to television programmes too. Would be interesting to list the advirt campaigns at least. Kbdguy (talk) 18:28, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm suggesting that this page is written by hardcore fans that refuse to acknowledge that this track is how most people know this band
