Shouldn't this be moved to Eggplant salad or Aubergine salad? The name salată de vinete contains no proper nouns or anything culturally-specific. In fact, I would think that this dish is a part of other cuisines as well, in which case they should all be included on this page. Ronline✉12:01, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Very popular in Székely Land, called vinete, or vineta. Another photo should be inserted too, with a plate of vinete salad, nice red tomato slices around it, some pepper, etc. And possibly a bottle of Harghita Beer :-) next to the plate...
