Is this dish independently notable and is it even Cambodian?[edit]

Samlar kari is the NAME of Cambodian chicken curry, yes. But that doesn't mean it is a Cambodian dish nor that it should warrant its own Wikipedia article. There aren't any reliable sources which establish that this dish was invented in Cambodia. Let me look at each source cited in the article, for example:

I am pinging the person who made this article (@SamHolt6:). My view would be this article should be deleted or perhaps just redirect back to cambodian cuisine or red curry. Apples&Manzanas (talk) 12:45, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Apples&Manzanas: on second glance I am inclined to agree with you; I was able to cite two print sources (which would for Wikipedia purposes would establish the dish as Cambodian as they describe it as such), but neither are particularly in-depth. While I love stub articles, this one is not adding any significant amount of information to Wikipedia that cannot already be found at Cambodian cuisine. I will redirect the article there, and maybe see if sufficient WP:RS exist to create an article for Samlor, which would be a more refined redirect target.
