[edit]I removed {{notability}}. This is the oldest building standing in Sapporo, a well-known city.
Although I personally can't verify, the U.S. Western-style of the building is also notable, since the process of the development of Sapporo is quite similar to that of U.S.'s development of the west coast, and many U.S. firms were contracted to build the city.
It'd be good if the details about this building can be expanded by someone with more information.
