EL

[edit]

The EL is indeed appropriate. But if someone prefers to turn it into text, for inclusion in the article, with associated RS news articles, that would be fine as well. 2603:7000:2103:79D0:51CC:C422:8C36:992A (talk) 17:18, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that the external links section should refer to sources that talk more about the subject of the page in general. The link you have placed only concerns a very specific topics (one question she asked during a hearing). Furthermore, it is a YouTube video making a political point, rather than giving more context about Sarah Dobbe's work. - Tristan Surtel (talk) 20:16, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That’s all fine. It meets WP:EL. Nothing you mention is in wp:EL. It need not as you suggest cover more than one topic. It is not interpretation of what she said - it reflects her actual words. Plus, if you look at her article page views, this is what brings readers to the article. It’s what she is most notable for in her career by that measure. No need to hide it. It’s fine under WP:EL. But we or someone can make it text if you prefer. 2603:7000:2101:AA00:7413:BC33:F511:C8DA (talk) 05:23, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that inclusion in an encyclopedic article should be based on significant coverage in reliable secondary sources, not on views. Can you please specify which of the criteria for inclusion of an external link of WP:ELYES or WP:ELMAYBE is being met? These exist to prevent Wikipedia from become a link repository and imply that link should give a broader understanding of the subject as a whole, Sara Dobbe in this case. - Tristan Surtel (talk) 07:25, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
