NYTimes article

[edit]

Great source of material: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/29/books/29bronner.html. --64.230.126.140 04:05, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreliable source?

[edit]

I found this -> http://www.usagold.com/gildedopinion/jensen/20020208.html <- which is an almost-credible source for the quote

"A Palestinian state should be demilitarized - not because that's what Israel demands, but in our own interest."

This claims to be a reprint of an editorial by

Holger Jensen was International Editor of the Denver Rocky Mountain News and Foreign Affairs Columnist for the Scripps Howard News Service"

But I can't find this article anywhere else. I'm not going to use something this flimsy, maybe someone else can find more. Couch on his Head and Smiling (talk) 02:04, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to inquire on the claim "Internationally, Nusseibeh is a member of the McGill Middle East Program's Executive and Management Committees". The MMEP webpage does not include Dr. Nusseibeh on their International Executive Committee list (see:http://www.mcgill.ca/mmep/people/#EXECUTIVES). Secondly, Dr. Nusseibeh's web page (http://sari.alquds.edu/cv.htm) does not include McGill in none of these listed categories: Selected Conferences, Positions/Fellowships, Some Additional Activities and Functions and International. Moreover, I've phoned MMEP and they couldn't confirm or deny Dr. Nusseibeh's membership on the Executive and Management Committees. The only acknowledged link between MMEP and Dr. Nusseibeh is a conference on the 28th of October 2007 (http://www.mcgill.ca/newsroom/news/item/?item_id=27690): "The McGill Middle East Program in Civil Society and Peace Building presents a public lecture by Dr. Sari Nusseibeh, MMEP Executive committee [!] member, on his new book Once Upon a Country: A Palestinian Life, a compelling narrative of a life lived at the crossroads of history." Can someone please clarify Dr. Nusseibeh's relation to McGill University? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.68.204.3 (talk) 16:00, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi all, can someone with edit rights add a link to Committee Confronting the Iron Fist (in groups that he has been affiliated with) as a stub page has been created. Thanks all :) SunshineTobias (talk) 09:43, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
