References

[edit]

I fixed a lot of the bad grammar in this article. I tried to fix the references throughout but I have no idea how to do that and kind of messed it up a little, so if anyone wants to fix that, that would be great. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Radioactive Cactus (talkcontribs) 05:04, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

I've noticed vanadalism in the article and previously in the history I noticed vanadalism was reverted by another user. Why is this article being targeted more than others? Someone posted "THIS GAME SUCKS ____" and a few other things which I reverted under Gameplay. ~NeonFire372~ 23:50, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Code

[edit]

The code is wrong, I saw it. Theres an X in the end. I'm not sure about the rest, but I'm sure about the X. And can we use right, left... instead of R, L...? So can anyone fix this, since I'm not sure about the code. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.3.32.54 (talk) 19:23, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Undo

[edit]

I'm getting tired of people saying "thats not allowed" to me... if going to tell me the rules then i want an link and a quote saying that it not allowed. Furry Fury (talk) 20:49, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:NOTCRYSTAL. Don't revert without further discussion. Nakon 20:55, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you should probably stay away from these articles due to your WP:COI. Nakon 20:59, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well first off, the version with the countdown[1] has a heading on the lead section, which is strongly recommended against per the style guideline Wikipedia:Lead section#Sections and table of contents. Having a heading section interferes with the overall flow of the article. Also, putting the countdown timer as the lead of the articles gives readers the impression that the most important thing about the game is how long until they can buy it, even before the name of the game, makes it feel like an advertisement. Per WP:NOTCRYSTAL already pointed out above, "In forward-looking articles about unreleased products, such as movies and games, take special care to avoid advertising and unverified claims." Putting a count-down timers is that advertising to avoid, it makes it seem like readers should be lining up to get the game. Is the most important thing a reader completely unfamiliar with the game encounters when coming to this article be a concise summary of the game, its awards, its developments, and when it came out, or reminder how soon it is until they could buy it? -Optigan13 (talk) 00:07, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WP:NOTCRYSTAL states that # Individual scheduled or expected future events should only be included if the event is notable and almost certain to take place. the release it official and has been confirmed. and you will see the date posted in the article already Furry Fury (talk) 00:19, 9 June 2008 (UTC) my "countdown timer" is a just a timestamp it takes the release date and subtracts the current date. Furry Fury (talk) 00:19, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
After throughly disproving all reasons why it the countdown timer shouldn't be in the page, I finally got a post a reason what actually applies. While the countdown timer breaks NO rules is is perfectly valid to put on the page, is accurate, verifiable, neutral, non-disruptive, and puts no stress on the servers. It does pose 1 error... The refresh button will not work for any person who isn't a registered on Wiki, do to the fact that they cannot purge the page User Group Rights. On those grounds, the timer would classify as inaccurate to any non registered user, thus making not acceptable to be posted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Furry Fury (talkcontribs) 03:02, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

References I removed

[edit]

I removed some references because they weren't really citing anything. It seemed to me that they were just placed there randomly. I am at my school right now, so I can't check the pages to see what should be on the article for it to cite, so when I get home I will do it, unless someone else wants to add these back in.
