Synopsis Problems

[edit]

I've edited the synopsis to clear up some of the writing, and remove a reference to time-travel that I can only assume (after having checked the cited sources) to be a misunderstanding. In the article at IGN (http://pc.ign.com/articles/947/947173p1.html) it reference slow travel time, not slow time-travel. Kurosau (talk) 00:23, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

According to the guidelines in the template documentation, this tag doesn't belong here. I realize the tag appears on many articles, but it's really not supposed to. The guidelines state:

  • This template should only be used on articles where future information is an issue in some way, such as information about an event/product that will change rapidly; an article dealing with a sudden burst of traffic; articles that contain sections that haven't been cleaned up to make it clear that it is a future event/product; etc.
  • It is not intended to be used to mark an article that merely is about a future event/product; if it were, tens of thousands of articles would have this template, with no informational consequence. In most cases, the status of an event/product should be obvious from the article itself.
  • Note that every article on Wikipedia has a General disclaimer indicating that the article contents may not be accurate. This template is not supposed to be a substitute for the general disclaimer, and should not be used as one.

It meets the standards of the first guide line. This article contains info about an evnt/product that will change rapidly as we learn more, and will change even more rapidly once the game has been released. We barely knwo anything about the story or modes now. I don't see a problem with keeping the tag on for another 12 days, when the game is finaly released. =/= Ironoclast (Talk) 22:16, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
