Article Expanded
[edit]Dear Wikipedians, go ahead and do your Wikipedia thing to this article, since it's the first one I've written and I'm sure you've got improvements waiting. Just wait a week or so so I can get my final grade on it, okay? I would appreciate that. Helenvg (talk) 13:29, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Move proposal
[edit]I propose we move this article to the name actually given in the first line, i.e. Shin Kokin Waka Shū. Eiríkr Útlendi | Tala við mig 17:48, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- I disagree. Let's move it to Shinkokinshu, since that is where the majority of links are coming from. --maru (talk) contribs 20:23, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hm, I hear you, but the Kokin-wakashu page, for instance, does not reside under the abbreviated form of Kokinshu. That aside, were we to decide to move, would Shin Kokinshū be acceptable for you? Shin is, after all, a distinct morpheme simply meaning "new", and this would also make the connection with the Kokinshū more clear. (Personally, I feel that shū should be separate too, but then the conjoined spelling is already entrenched, as in Man'yōshū.) -- Eiríkr Útlendi | Tala við mig 04:31, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- "Shin Kokinshū" is an acceptable compromise. Perhaps next we should argue over the Kokinshu.... :) --maru (talk) contribs 05:13, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- My thoughts exactly. :) I'll post something there later today, time allowing. Cheers! Eiríkr Útlendi | Tala við mig 19:01, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
