[edit]

I think someone who has been following my edits would object to my replacement with the new image, so I address my point of view on the issue. I don't believe the previous image Image:Korean.food-Sikhye-01.jpg was really taken by the uploader, Drpepper000 (talk · contribs) unlike his/her claim as GFDL because the uploader's other images[1] are either in the same line or not as good as the quality of the sikhye image such as Image:Sungnyung.jpg. I think the sikhye image is from a website and taken by a professional photographer due to the setting and style although the resolution is not good. I could not ask about it to the uploader since he is not active for about two years.

The second image with the overly yellow cast is also I believe a fair use image per my inquiry on Jinro soju to a Commons admin.[2] If an image of the branded sikhye should be included in the article, we can use the third one with fair use image rationale. To avoid the fair use image, the fourth image can barely be saved by the image guideline. Except the fourth, images at Commons in the similar situation should be deleted accordingly as well.--Caspian blue (talk) 01:31, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File nominated for deletion on commons

[edit]
The file c:File:Andong-Sikhye gotgam-mari strawberries.jpg used in this article has been nominated for deletion on Commons
Reason: I think time has come to finish the long-forgotten (or ignored) question: Is [Template:M used with invalid code 'tl'. See documentation.]KOGL free? I doubt its freeness, based on the fact that we do not have definite answer for Template talk:KOGL#Free?. To save your click... [Template:M used with invalid code 'talkquote'. See documentation.]In case the terms change we (on Wikimedia projects) can still reuse it under the licensing conditions at the time of upload here. But in that case we must stop distributing the file to others because we are not a licensor (only a reuser) and our scope of redistributing entirely relies on the licensing of the source. If the source licensing is not a public license (but a private license contract concluded when the licensee downloads the file from the official source) then it is not free. Its revocable and fails c:Commons:Project scope#Required licensing terms. We, as of 2018, do not have a final answer for this. And this means, we have to delete these images, including some VIs and FPs.

"milk substitute"?

[edit]

Just wondering whether anyone can clarify why there's a "Milk substitutes" expandable banner at the bottom of the article? There's nothing in the article to suggest that Sikhye is used as a dairy milk substitute. Thanks in advance.--Philologia (talk) 14:27, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
