The quote at the end doesnt make sense

[edit]

is it just me, or does the quote at the end not make sense? it seems kinda disjointed...--203.219.214.137 (talk) 09:57, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Which quote? --118.92.168.2 (talk) 06:59, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ya which quote??? Luka Bird (talk) 22:39, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Probably the one that was there in June 2009, but has since been removed. LynwoodF (talk) 23:03, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

British?

[edit]

Why is the novel categorised under British Children's Novels? It's Irish. It has nothing to do with Britain. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mark Sheridan (talkcontribs) 20:22, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

LotR

[edit]

Removed the following bit:

"Serpine bears many similarities to Sauron of The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien: a dark sorcerer who was once a servant of an even greater evil but is now the greatest villain in the world and who seeks a potent magical device to aid him in his quest for domination of the world (in Serpine's case the Sceptre, in Sauron's case the One Ring). In this, Mevolent could be seen to resemble Morgoth and Sagacious Tome could be seen to resemble Saruman."

Due to it being original research. – Harry Blue5 (talkcontribs) 15:59, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fine, but Serpine bio now makes no sense. (122.109.128.223 (talk) 05:55, 10 December 2011 (UTC))[reply]

How does removing it make it make any less sense? – Harry Blue5 (talkcontribs) 16:46, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unrealistic content.

[edit]

If this is the page for the book with same name as the titular character, then why are there pieces of information and other facts from as far as KotW? Drakon467 (talk) 17:58, 21 May 2013 (UTC) I agree http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Skulduggery_Pleasant&action=edit# — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iamamazing77 (talkcontribs) 18:15, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Skulduggery Pleasant character section

[edit]

The character section reveals too much about Skulduggery himself. It should give information that is revealed in that book only. All the information about him being Lord Vile should be on his character page, as this information (and more) is not revealed in this book.18:13, 27 June 2013 (UTC)Iamamazing77 (talk)http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Skulduggery_Pleasant&action=edit&section=new#

Agreed. I have just deleted a sentence in this section which spilled information about Skulduggery himself which is not revealed until later books; having only read book 1# this spoiler was annoying for me to read on the book 1# wiki page, and so to stop it happening to anyone else - it's gone. Keep it to the Skulduggery characters page. Freaky dragonlady (talk) 23:57, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Other character sections

[edit]

OK, someone has simply placed far too much spoiling information in these sections and I feel it should all be on the 'List of Skulduggery Pleasant characters' wiki page instead https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Skulduggery_Pleasant_characters and on the wiki pages of the respective books where the details are revealed in the plot.

Removed from Stephanie's section : "At the end of the fourth book Valkyrie Finds out that she can either save the world or destroy it she finds out her true name after people start having visions of Darquesse. Valkyrie finds out that she is Darquesse and seals her name. In later books she becomes Darquesse (who is extremly powerful and is said to be the one to destroy the world) in the end of 'Last Stand of Dead Men' she becomes Darquesse and Skullduggery cannot get her back."

Removed from Tanith Low's section: "She continues helping Skullduggery and Valkyrie until book 5: Mortal Coil, where she is possesed by a remnant (an evil spirit that inhabits your body and controls you, if one is in you for more than 4 days it bonds to you forever.) she then tries to protect Darquesse."

Removed from China Sorrow's section: "China Sorrows used to worship the Faceless Ones in earlier days, she went to the good side and helped Skulduggery and Valkyrie until we find out that China was the one who led Skulduggery's family into the trap during the war. China's arch enemy Eliza Scorn tells Skulduggery her secret and she has to run away. She is in 'Last Stand of Dead Men' a bit and at the end of the book becomes the new Grand Mage."
