Hello, first of all, how does this article fails notability guidelines if this person is a colonel not just some kind of Russian pilot. Second, if its 100% copy paste then how come you say its subsequently edited? I don't see your logic here. Three, instead of accusing an editor of 100% copy paste, maybe you will be kind enough instead and just give me a link to an alternate source, otherwise I don't see anything of value. Another thing; according to WP:SOLDIER this person is notable. Hero of the Soviet Union is the highest honour in USSR, even English Wikipedia excepts it. Don't believe me? I've copied the above here from my talk-page. The article appears to have been copied wholesale from the site cited as a reference; it's been edited a bit since, but is still close-paraphrased. That source obviously fails WP:RS. A quick search (that is, I did not spend a load of time on this) did not turn up anything resembling a reliable source that mentions him; I don't mean that there are none, just that I didn't find one. As it stands, the article is (a) a copyvio, (b) without reliable sources and (c) on a non-notable subject. (b) and (c) can be fixed by finding reliable sources that state that he was a Hero; (a) can be fixed by deleting the present text, and rewriting it with information from those reliable sources. OK? Well, I don't know. Russian Wikipedia lists him as Hero: diff. Although since I am the only one in this discussion that knows Russian, I must also mention that the Russian source is site less. Another thing, I tried to fix the text though. If possible, can you do it for me? I don't know the difference between close-paraphrasing and not so.--Mishae (talk) 02:10, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you will look carefully in the source it says next:

W tion of the Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and medal "Gold Star" Spartacus Iosifovich Makovsky awarded April 13, 1944.

I know its maybe a bad writing, but it says in the middle of the whole article. If you want, I can remove Hero of the Soviet Union thing, and living the other honours intact?--Mishae (talk) 18:15, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
