Unicode Shogi Pieces
[edit]The icons U+2616 and U+2617 ("white shogi piece" and "black shogi piece", respectively) are common, universal indicators of which player is making a move when notating shogi games. They are used on the page for Shogi notation and show up in all of the shogi diagrams used on Wikipedia. They show up frequently when notating moves on the Internet (example: Shogi Shack) and in books. Sometimes black and white triangles are used instead, but the shogi piece shapes seem the most concise. It seems odd that they would be disallowed on any shogi page on Wikipedia, as many will reference moves by either player without context. Can these two characters be allowed through the filter?
