Infobox

[edit]

@Davey2010: You cute that the infobox lacks the info needed to exist. I have since included said info and now ask why it still warranted removal? I’d ask you Gain a consensus before removing the infobox again. Rusted AutoParts 03:08, 6 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

POINTy much?. –Davey2010Talk 03:12, 6 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
How am I being pointy by asking you to gain a consensus for an edit that’s been disputed. You raised the concerns that it didn’t have enough information to remain so I added in some additional information. If there’s anything else it could use feel free to detail as such. But if you feel it shouldn’t be there at all I feel it’d be something that should have a consensus formed for. If it did I’d comply with it regardless if I disagree with it because it was decided to have it that way. Rusted AutoParts 03:20, 6 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Best Known For?

[edit]

The lede states that "she is best known for playing Detective Rosa Diaz in the NBC comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Jessica in the independent drama Short Term 12 (2013)", but how is that determined? She plays a character in Modern Family, and while that character is not as 'big' as her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine - only a handful of episodes - Modern Family ran at roughly the same time but had much, much higher ratings, so I would argue that she might be best known for that role. Now I realise that is original research, but that doesn't mean I am wrong, and there is no reference for the claim as it stands, so what do we do? FillsHerTease (talk) 15:41, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Best known is definitely subjective. Many pages usually just say "known for [insert roles or other notable activities]". The latter wording doesn't imply that any of the aforementioned roles are what they are "best known" for. Clear Looking Glass (talk)
Agreed! I have no problem with "known for", I just think subjective terms like that should be avoided, unless it's - you know - Adma West, best known for playing Batman, or something equally obvious (though I checked his page and it doesn't even say that, proving me both right, and wrong, at the same time!?). At any rate, thank you if you were the one who fixed it... FillsHerTease (talk) 06:07, 24 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
