The article needs to be toned down. It appears almost like promotional material.

Request of semi-protection
There appears to be an ongoing slow campaign of vandalism on this article. I request that it be semi-protected and, as soon as we move to the appropriate phase of Pending Changes, that it be added to PC. I am making the request here, rather than simply doing it myself, to avoid any concern about conflict of interest, as Suhas Gopinath is a friend of mine.--Jimbo Wales (talk) 22:53, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
- Could you provide diffs to show the "ongoing slow campaign of vandalism on this article" that you have observed. The history of the article shows very few reversions, and only one reversion [1] of obvious page blanking vandalism since the last [2] request for semi protection. Weakopedia (talk) 12:00, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- Also note that no-one who has edited the article this year has received a warning for any kind of vandalism, excepting the one page blanking vandal (a problem encountered on many articles, and often with more frequency than here). There may be a COI question however - one of the main contributors, Naveenk1, has in three years of being a Wikipedian edited only this article, and the deleted article School Management System - which according to Google is marketed by a company set up in 2000 by the subject of this article. An analysis of may help in establishing the possibility of COI. Weakopedia (talk) 12:21, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- In addition, User:Globals media has identified themselves on the permissions page of the picture currently in use as the subject of this article. I have reported this commercial username at the appropriate noticeboards. Weakopedia (talk) 11:53, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
Templates
Hi there are now a lot of template atop the article, personally I don't see much of an issue, the article seems alright a simple little BLP with no major issues. Well cited and all. I was wondering if anyone would like to point out any specific issues they have with the current content so as to correct any specific issues and remove the templates. Off2riorob (talk) 12:19, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
In fact, without specific issues, I expect to remove the templates promptly.- Sinneed 12:26, 21 June 2010 (UTC)- Well, I am glad you struck that, as I think removing the templates hastily would have been a bad fath move, especially as I illustrated above why the COI tag was warranted, and an administrator added the other tags, seemingly in good faith. At least one editor has a COI problem, and so far one editor has been blocked. Looking at the contributions of said editor it shows at least one edit embellishing a statement with information not given in the cited source.
- Look at the first paragraph. "As a teenager, he wanted access to the internet but found the 4 dollars to be too expensive at his local internet cafe. So in exchange for working there when the owner needed a break, he got free time on the internet. Fast-forward six months, and Gopinath had taught himself how to build websites and was pitching cut-price portals to bricks-and-mortar firms in the US" - none of that is in the source given. That bit needs removed, or recited, and the source removed or used in a way that represents it. It's not a prompt job, it requires research. Hence the tags, I would have thought.
- The section on 'young global leader' has obvious weasel terms and the cited source is dead - the YGL bit is verifiable, the rest may be OR. The opening passage of the article is for sure OR. There are issues, and considering that someone with a COI has at least once embellished a source with uncited material, and considering they may be another editor with COI problems, it all needs checked. I think the tags are warranted, but I was only responsible for the COI tag, which is without a doubt necessary. Weakopedia (talk) 12:56, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- There are certainly problems with the article, but I can't see the major COI problem you're referring to, and I'm inclined to remove that tag. Looking at the history, I can see only five edits by the editor, the sum total of which was to add the the phrase "with a monthly pocket money of 1 dollar" (subsequently removed) and three references. However, the tag speaks of a major contributor having a COI. It does seem a bit of a stretch to interpret those edits that way. - Bilby (talk) 13:15, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- Conflict of interest is a temporary issue, and we should look to have a specific issue with any content to keep the coi template on the article, so someone who was involved has been editing the article OK are there some uncited claims no , so we all know the issue existed and it is not a problem. I would say the conflict of interest template can be removed as it is having no benefit to the article. As for the other templates the editor that added them should explain his issues with the exact content and then we can sort those issues out and remove the templates, all the templates are detrimental to the article and I would like to work on it to remove then as soon as possible. I will leave Truxman a note regarding the templates. Off2riorob (talk) 13:21, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- Rather than arguing why we should remove the COI tag without having first improved the article, as suggested by the tag, maybe our efforts would be better spent first improving the article. Please do not remove the COI tag until the content issues have been addressed - I do not think it enough to note that "we all know the issue existed" and preemptively remove the tag. Thanks. Weakopedia (talk) 13:41, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- I've got no problem with the other tags - it's just I don't understand why this is being tagged as a COI problem, given the small amount of mostly removed content that the user added. As far as I can tell, that problem was addressed with the removal of "with a monthly pocket money of 1 dollar". The rest still needs cleaning up, but at least that one seems to be able to be removed while we address the others. - Bilby (talk) 13:49, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- Then perhaps you could take another look at the preceeding section on this talkpage where there was more than one editor identified as having a possible COI. Could you please evaluate the contributions of all the editors suspected of having a connection to the article subject, and not just one of them. The editor you are referring to was blocked for having a promotional username, for advertising a company owned by the subject of this article. However the COI issues have not yet been fully established for all users - see the COI noticeboard. On a more fundamental level, when a COI has been identified, normally people don't jump on the tag so quickly - there may (or may not) be other reasons why editors might seek to not have a COI tag on this article, and rather than be involved in any argument I am now dewatchlisting this page. Weakopedia (talk) 14:12, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- You're certainly right that there is a risk of a COI with Naveenk1. I guess my concern is that we only have one confirmed COI, and that user wasn't a major contributor. At any rate, a full cleanup is needed, so it is worth focusing on that. - Bilby (talk) 14:32, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

I don't see any content that has any issues at all.? So why alter it? It is well cited and the content is covered in the independent citations. Can anyone point out some specific issue that the article needs editing? Off2riorob (talk) 15:14, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
I have trimmed the weaker achievments and worded the fluff a bit better and kept sixty percent of the content, has anyone got any specific issues with the content that remains? Off2riorob (talk) 16:02, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Under Summary, please change "Suhash (born March 10, 1994 in Bangalore) is an Indian Entrepreneur. He is the founder, CEO, and Chairman of Globel INC., an IT multinational company." to "Suhas Gopinath (born November 4, 1986 in Bangalore) is an Indian Entrepreneur. He was recognized as the World's Youngest CEO for founding his company Globals Inc., at the age of 14 years. He is the Founder, CEO and Chairman of Globals Incorporated., an IT Multinational Consulting and Development company."
Under the Photograph, please change "March 10, 1994 (age 20)" to "November 4, 1986 (age 27)"
- Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. That seems like a rather controversial change. That is a difference of almost eight years... You are going to need to provide some reliable sources to back up that claim. Thank you! — {{U|Technical 13}} (t • e • c) 13:43, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

I can't understand why this article has some many errors. Jimbo has personally requested to semi protect this and we are still allowing erroneous content.

Please note there are lot of edits that are improper, abusive and insulting to Suhas Gopinath. For example his Date of Birth Year is changed to 1994. Name is changed. Wrong references. There is Utter Pradesh shown as the state when he is born from Karnataka State. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Globalsinc (talk • contribs) 07:12, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
Suhash (Karnataka (born March 10, 1994) is an Indian Entrepreneur. He is the founder, CEO, and Chairman of Globel INC., an IT multinational company. This is completely incorrect. I would propose the following changes:
Suhas Gopinath (born November 4, 1986) is an Indian Entrepreneur. He is the founder, CEO, and Chairman of Globals Inc., an IT multinational company that he founded at the age of 14 years from a Cybere cafe in Bangalore in the year 2000 making him the World's Youngest CEO.
