WFIU News Announcer

[edit]

Something about her radio announcer work should be included. Among my tapes of radio broadcasts from the night John Lennon died is a news summary from Sylvia, given I think at about 1 a.m., recorded from WFIU, the radio service of Indiana University. (I have this on mp3 now and can provide it for verification.) She was an accustomed voice there. In fact, I knew her as an on-air news announcer long before I realized she was a singer (however, most WFIU on-air staff are involved in the Music School). Tonight, I was listening to WFIU and there was a promo about her. I will contact them and find out when she worked there and put that in. --Bluejay Young (talk) 03:50, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
