Comment. The website of TNEB Limited says: "After 53 years of journey the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board was restructured as per G.O.114 dated 08.10.2008 by establishing a holding company with the name "TNEB Ltd" and two subsidiary companies namely "Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Ltd.,"(TANTRANSCO) and "Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd.," (TANGEDCO) as per the mandatory requirements of the Electricity Act 2003. Accordingly TNEB Ltd., was formed on 01.11.2010." That means that the company was renamed and restructured but it still the same company. Statistics is little bit tricky as also the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board is largely referred as TNEB. Maybe it would be even better to move this page to TNEB per WP:NCCORP? There was previous consensus to merge these articles. Reason for this was that notwithstanding the restructuring of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, it is still the same company. During restructuring, all employees were transferred to new companies and it takes over responsibilities of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board as a legal successor. Moreover, being a legally separate entity is not a reason to create a separate article but the new article should have different information which does not belong to any other article. The main part of TNEB Limited article was information about restructuring of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board which was clear duplication of the existing article. As for title, per WP:CN, the article name does not include the legal type of the company, so the word "Limited" should be missed from the title. Beagel (talk) 18:29, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
