Fight scene anecdote
[edit]So apparently they were interviewing one of the brothers on PBS' Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me and he said that they had carefully choreographed the fight scene (their father, also a famous actor, had taught them how to do that when they were boys) - but forgot to choose a 'safe word'. So when they went to film the scene, one was really hurting the other, and when the second said something to the effect of 'you're really hurting me', the first one just thought it was great acting! Apparently the second one had to go to hospital. (Sorry, don't recall which was which.) Anyway, I'm too lazy to track this reference down, but perhaps someone else can, and then we can add it? BBC Remake section an irrelevance
[edit]Anyone else think the 'BBC Remake' section at the bottom of this page, which is about a different movie, is irrelevant and should be removed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.223.209.237 (talk) 19:16, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
Me. The supposed 'BBC remake' suggested by the heading, but which we are told is 'unrelated to the 1989 film', is a TV series about the staff of a Welsh bakery being made unemployed when it closes down. Removing it now. Robocon1 (talk) 15:29, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

- Make the awards table sortable.
- Also add "!scope=row" to the first column.
- Then sort nominees in the table by their last names.
- I removed the awards table altogether in favour of using prose. I feel a table is redundant and unnecessary, considering the film fact that most of the film's awards/nominations were for Pfeiffer – each of which are elaborated upon in the paragraph – and the fact that the film itself did not receive that many notable awards. Hope this will suffice. --Changedforbetter (talk) 16:53, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

To T:DYK/P5Business named after it
[edit]There used to be a UK food company selling US-style baked goods named "The Fabulous Bakin' Boys" (closed around 2010). It must be a take-off of the name of the film, but I haven't come up with a source explicitly saying it. Blythwood (talk) 23:27, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
