Kuala Lumpur is not a Muslim State.
Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia. As far as I know, Malaysia is NOT a Muslim state. The Muslim bodies in Malaysia may have been responsible for getting PCD into trouble but this does not reflect unanimous sentiments of the nation. malsysia consists of other dominant religion namely, Christians, Buddhists and Hindus refelcting other major races like the Malaysian-Chinese, Malaysian-Indians among other minor races. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aswald (talk • contribs) 03:53, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
20 million?
The PCD have NOT sold 20 million records ww... there is no way - they have sold a little over 5 million worldwide - NOT 20 MILLiON!
- The FIRST album sold 9 million and SECOND sold 5 million. 20 million? NO. They actually sold 35 million RECORDS worldwide. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.210.243.98 (talk) 02:53, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

Chrystina Sayers' departure.
Since Chrystina Sayers is no longer part of the new line-up do you guys think that she shouldn't be listed on the Past members line up here? As in the one at the top of this article? Since she left before the new line-up could even debut by releasing their first single as the new PCD making her a brief member? Another good example was Kaya Jones. She left even before the group could compete PCD's first album but she was with the group on "Sway". So I think that Chrystina should be removed from the Past members section up this article.Bleubeatle (talk) 04:32, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
Requested move
- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was move. Cúchullain t/c 14:23, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
Pussycat Dolls → The Pussycat Dolls – Named "The Pussycat Dolls" in official site title, biography page, text in from cover of album PCD, iTunes and Allmusic -- although some other parts of official website just written "Pussycat Dolls", very inconsistent here. [Relisted--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 04:38, 21 June 2012 (UTC)] Silvergoat (talk∙contrib) 20:02, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
- Weak oppose When there's inconsistency, I favor omitting the article. Note that while the HTML title of the official site has "The," their prominent logo doesn't. Plural band names, like university names, are awkward to refer to in speech without an article, and people who aren't particularly conscious about these sorts of things end up capitalizing or not rather indiscriminately. Why do I bring up university names? Look at cases like University of Chicago, University of Montana, or University of Paris. While you're likely to find some references to The university in such contexts, the article names omit it. And I thought Ohio State University and George Washington University would be exceptions, since they're both sticklers on insisting that "The" is part of their names, those article names suggest a clear preference. --BDD (talk) 15:43, 21 June 2012 (UTC) yo yo yo

- Not sure why this was moved. The only comment was "Sounds good to me." 2x. I don't see an agreement on whether or not "The" should be included in the title. Statυs (talk) 12:02, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
- Are you questioning whether the two editors who indicated "support" supported the proposal? Seems clear that they did. There's no set participation needed for move discussions, and the nominator provided clear evidence that "the" is usually used, as with similar articles on performers such as The Beatles and The Temptations.Cúchullain t/c 12:52, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
- One has a vague comment stating "sounds good to me", while the other says "per [the user who left the vague comment]". BDD was pretty clear on the fact that both with "The" and without "The" have been used. Their first album used "The", while on their second, they dropped it. There is no clear agreement on which to use, so this move should have never been put in place. Statυs (talk) 13:02, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
- IMO 3-4 votes is not enough to move a page. its hardly a riveting consensus. — Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 17:08, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
- It doesn't really matter on the amount of "votes", yet the quality of said. BDD stated a very reasonable comment, that both names have been used, and the other two just thought it "sounds good". Statυs (talk) 18:17, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
- Cúchullain gave enough good evidence for to support the move, so I didn't need to add anything. BDD even said "weak oppose", so even he/she was basically leaning towards not opposing either. Unreal7 (talk) 00:29, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

- Huh? Cuchullain wasn't the one who requested this move. A weak oppose is leaning towards oppose, a weak keep would be leaning towards keep. BDD never stated neutral. Statυs (talk) 05:15, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

- I am uncertain about the move, too. I always thought it was just Pussycat Dolls, but I don't know what is "official". "The" is going to be used as a qualifier in group names whether it is actually part of the name or not. The argument in favor of the move isn't entirely convincing. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 23:41, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
- FWIW, RIAA certifications website displays it as just "Pussycat Dolls" while they use "The Beatles" and "The Temptations". --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 00:56, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
Orphaned references in The Pussycat Dolls
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of The Pussycat Dolls's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "Trust":
- From Nicole Scherzinger: Trust, Gary (June 3, 2009). "Chart Beat Thursday: Lee & Crystal Rock On". Billboard. Prometheus Global Media. Retrieved March 19, 2014.
- From Rihanna: Trust, Gary (November 21, 2012). "Rihanna's 'Diamonds' Shines Atop Hot 100". Billboard. Nielsen Business Media, Inc. Retrieved November 21, 2012.
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 05:46, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
2011-2013
Recently, this section that I added (please read "New Dolls become G.R.L." below) was removed. I think this should be reinstated as it is relevant to the history of the Pussycat Dolls; from March 2011 until February 2013 the public were told about, and then shown the "new" line-up of the Dolls recording group. I'm opening the discussion here for comments whether it should be renistated. I also altered the paragraph title from "Aftermath" to "After the split". I think that the word Aftermath has a negative POV in this context, and should be changed.
New Dolls become G.R.L.
In March 2011 Robin Antin commenced auditions for a new recording group of the Pussycat Dolls. Various line-ups appeared in promotional photos, videos or advertising from February 2012 onwards, and included members from the Paradiso Girls and Girlicious (both were groups that Antin had helped form). In February 2013 it was announced that the group would now be known as G.R.L.. They issued thier first single in June 2013. (See article on G.R.L. for further details and references).
- I agree that "Aftermath" sound a little negative; "After the split" sounds okay, as does "Post-split" or something along those lines.
- As for the section you added, at the very least you need to find some sources to back it up. Otherwise, it's original research and other editors will remove it. Acalamari 20:35, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
- Actually, I've just noticed that G.R.L. are already mentioned in the article at The Pussycat Dolls#Spin-offs. Maybe add to that? Acalamari 20:45, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
A short G.R.L. description was added by me when I created the legacy section and placed it into "spin-offs" where the Pussycat Dolls have branched into other groups. The new group (G.R.L.) does not need more than a simple sentence or two mentioning who they are here in a Pussycat Dolls article. There's already a full article dedicated to G.R.L.. If you would like to add, go there. --BittersweetTragedy (talk) 21:01, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

The article strongly suggests that the other members contributed very little to PCD album. More information here would be good, as Nicole is not the only one who can sing. Please remove Kaya Jones and reference 13 from the 2003 - 07 section. Kaya Jones was never a member of The Pussycat Dolls. I am the new management company for The Pussycat Dolls and Robin Antin. And this is by request from Robin Antin. Please remove Kaya Jones and reference 69 from the Overemphasis of Scherzinger section. Kaya Jones was never a member of The Pussycat Dolls. I am the new management company for The Pussycat Dolls and Robin Antin. And this is by request from Robin Antin. Jaketvmgmt (talk) 22:35, 9 May 2016 (UTC) Jaketvmgmt (talk) 22:35, 9 May 2016 (UTC)

Thornton is on lead vocals, Scherzinger and Bachar also have mics, the other dancers do not. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nFpvnpVtu2U There are also written sources (reliable?) which say Kaya sang on "Sway" and appears in the "Sway" video. Here is a link to the cover image of the Promo single of "Sway" which shows 8 Dolls (There is another cover which shows 6). http://991.com/Buy/ProductInformation.aspx?StockNumber=372113 ----Design (talk) 09:34, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
- Why raise this issue now? Kaya has made numerous statements to the media for over a decade that she was in PCD prior to "Don't Cha". Perhaps Robin Antin would like to issue a media release stating her claim that Kaya was never a member? Then Wikipedia can list this as a "controversy". ---Design (talk) 12:38, 10 May 2016 (UTC)

There were many girls that performed with the Pussycat Dolls, with much bigger profiles that Kaya Jones, and they never claim to be a member of The Pussycat Dolls. Kaya Jones is making this false claim to get gigs and interviews she would never get without the false claim.
- Please define what you mean by "member". As I understand it, PCD was formed by Antin in the 1990s, everybody else was a paid contractor or employee of her company, and later of Interscope the label. PCD performed live for nearly 10 years before they made a CD. Jones audtioned at the same time as Thornton and Scherzinger (then known as Nicole Kea), and was employed at the time of the transition of PCD from live burlesque troupe to Pop recording group. ----Design (talk) 03:32, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
Countries
"Scotland and the United Kingdom" is incorrect. Scotland is part of the United Kingdom despite the very loud rantings of certain Scots; so it should state simply "the United Kingdom". This is not a page for political statements - it's about the Pussycat Dolls, not about the wishes of the Scottish National Party. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 145.130.55.168 (talk) 14:27, 25 November 2016 (UTC)
